Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. The music she grew up with was traditional, old boleros as well as traditional romantic, ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of tangos, opera, and the various forms of dramatic performing. Ana started to learn how to sing as well as play musical instruments in the early years alongside her mother. She was given more formal training in singing when she was 16 years old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The singer continued her education in the field of music with the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was part of numerous opera chamber and choruses. After relocating to California in United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current location in the southern part of California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo with classic Latin American music at private performances. The passion and love she has for arts, music and performing has her participating in numerous local organizations as a teacher and performer. Ana was also part of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher of The Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to have the opportunity communicate with other people her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to keep the traditions alive.
